Tubecon is an international Youtube festival thought to offer a safe and confortable space for meeting within fans and youtubers. It started up in 2014 when Finnish YouTubers wanted to create this platform. Community-driven Tubecon events have been organized since 2014, in Finland, Sweden, Switzerland and Spain: 7 times as arena-scale conventions, and 16 times as touring events.

I was lucky to participate in the Spanish edition taking part in the Wizink Center in 2017. We (a choosen group of communication students) were taking care of different tasks over the festival: meeting points with fans, scheduling the performances, guiding the artists, some help in production phases, etc.

The experience was really nice. I had the opportunity to meet incredible people there. Also the opportunity to discover the potential of a growing alternative digital media market, able to satisfy the necessities of an audience that goes one step more than the standar one. It's really the beginning of a different media mass consumption.
